Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • Who needs have an end of life plan?

You. Me. All of us need at least some critical components of end of life planning such as healthcare directives, living wills, and wills in place to ensure our choices are upheld in critical, emergency situations, and at the end of life. If you are a parent or business owner you especially want a plan in place to protect your loved ones and employees.

  • Is end of life planning expensive?

No, not necessarily, but budgets and resources vary so this depends on your circumstances. I’ll help you determine what you need, prioritize critical tasks, and provide you with options for vendors that meet your budgeting and estate complexity needs.

  • What do your end of life planning services cost?

I receive $125-$175 per two-hour, personalized, one-to-one planning session. After your free consultation I will provide you with a proposal and menu of packages to choose from that fit your needs. Installment payments are also available.

  • How long does the end of life planning process take?

You determine the pace at which your planning unfolds. My goal is to support you in completing your planning process so you can achieve peace of mind and protect your loved ones. I create a custom proposal based on your unique needs and circumstances for you to select what planning aspects you want to address and when. Some clients choose to do this in 6-8 weeks, others take a slower pace of 6 months or so. You choose what is best for you.

  • Is my end of life plan permanent or can changes be made?

No. Your plan is not permanent and should be reviewed and updated when you have a significant life change such as a marriage, divorce, or death that impacts your decisions, designations, or documentation. It is also recommended to review your plan every few years to assure it is still current with your needs and wishes. I send reminders to clients so you won’t forget.

  • Do you provide legal, financial, and/or medical advice or services?

No. I am not a legal, financial, or medical professional but I will be happy to conduct research and refer you, as needed, to professionals who can assist you.
